Green Inspirations...
By popular demand: Here are a few tips on green resources: Start where you are and measure your ecological footprint, consider what you are already doing, get inspired by stories of what people are doing where they stand in ODE, Plenty, and Yes! Magazines, share a car, ride a bike in city and around the bay, use public transportation when you can. Support your local farmers market or CSA (community supported agriculture). Next, perhaps a green makeover for your body, wallet, household, house, campus, congregation? Stay close to home. If you do have to travel, try ecotourism resources. For your investments, you might consider switching to SRCs (socially responsible investments). Or, consider a microlending investment. Lobby and make your voice heard: Protestants for the Common Good, Episcopal Public Policy Network, Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation. Empower people around you working in businesses and investment. I could go on and on... Just some examples...
